Job Description

A Day in Your Life at MKS:

As a Senior Manager, Inventory Management, you will (through influence) lead all inventory optimizing initiatives across the company, while maximizing customer service. You are a strategic thinker, change agent, driving improvements across a large global footprint with a focus on improving processes, functional skills, and standardizing tools. You will report to the Senior Director, Materials Management, Supply Chain.

You Will Make an Impact By:

  • Developing a vision and long-term strategy to optimize inventory levels of the corporation.

  • Developing and implementing a strategy to build a flourishing superuser community across 2 major MRP systems

  • Deploying and training colleagues on standard materials management processes including but not limited to optimization of Master Data Parameters, guidelines around Purchase Order, Production Order creation etc.

  • Partnering with IT to maintain appropriate control on Master Data.

  • Finalizing a Plan for Every Part, partner with IT to automate and train colleagues on leveraging the information to drive inventory reduction initiatives.

  • Building a problem-solving culture to analyze inventory levels, receipt trends, demand-supply imbalances to develop proactive mitigation actions, and permanent corrective actions to ensure that the quality of inventory is high.

  • Collaborating with planning and purchasing to ensure that procedures are being adhered to and exceptions are being managed diligently.

  • Building standardized analytical tools and templates to understand inventory movements.

  • Teaming up with IT to ensure all required inventory reduction reports are automated and on demand.

  • Leading Problem Solving events across the company

Skills that You Bring:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations, Engineering or Supply Chain

  • 7+ years of experience in a lead role in a diverse and global supply chain organization

    • Experience optimizing inventory levels for complex products (high mix, low volume)

    • Experience with C-suite level presentations/communication proficiency

    • Ability to travel up to 25% of the time

Preferred Skills:

  • MBA Preferred

  • Superuser in Oracle and/or SAP

  • Power BI User

  • CPIM certification

Compensation and Benefits:
Salary Pay Range: $103,000 to $191,200 per year. This range is a good faith estimate of the expected salary range for this position, based on a wide range of factors including qualifications, experience and training, operational and business needs and other considerations permitted by law.At MKS, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for the role.

Bonus: This position is eligible for a discretionary annual bonus, in an amount to be determined by MKS [or as applicable].
